Embedded Terminal (ET)

The Embedded Terminal is a Near-Infrared face recognition system that doesn’t require a connection to pc and includes embedded hardware, which makes the terminal more secure, stable, and cheaper as full solution. Besides the embedded hardware, the Embedded Terminal includes also a LCD screen, an RFID reader and an effective key menu. All this in a very stylish design. The Embedded Terminal makes it also possible to register yourself at the terminal, which makes it easier for everyone.

Benefits: This near-infrared terminal is a great reliable and appealing terminal as it includes a color screen, embedded hardware, and an effective key menu and card reader for double check. The prime advantage of this solution is that it requires no connection to a PC, and therefore more reliable and secure. It also is easily integrated or mounted on a wall and takes up very little space or power. The system also provides an easy registration and data display solution. With the RFID reader, anyone already using an entrance card, can continue using it to get even faster access, or if forgotten can use their face only for identification.

This solution is ideal for VIP member organizations with fixed meeting facilities and limited number of members (100’ish). It also is very usefull for office entrances and run the attendance software. In general if you want to leave your visitors a great impression on how secure, advanced and efficient your company or organisation is, this is the right solution to impress people.

The downside of the ET is that it is not mobile like MT and more expensive than CT if you already have a PC available. One other consideration is that, although possible, it is not advised to be used outdoors. For places where more than 1000 people need to enroll, the ET101 needs to connect to an external PC through ethernet cable. If that is not possible the CT or MT is advised.

The Embedded terminal has only 1 version called ET 101. It has following features: Screen, keypad, RFID reader, embedded hardware, SD card slot for storage, dual camera, optional ethernet connector.

Notice: The Embedded Terminal ET101 will be available from June 2009 on, and therefore the casing of the product could still differ from the above picture, but functionality described above will remain.
